This unisex Ultra Cotton tee features SMOE NOVA’s SMOENA LISA, a portrait first painted by hand inside an abandoned factory, and only afterwards pixelated to create a digital blur that feels strangely real.
On the front, a clean handstyle tag reads “You see what you see” — a reminder that perception changes everything.
The artwork was created during SMOE’s massive pixel staircase project — a project he thought would take nine days but ended up taking twenty-five. With countless hours of painting, climbing, reflecting, and recalculating, he spent weeks thinking about how digital images shape our understanding of what’s real.
Sure, the Mona Lisa could have been pixelated in Photoshop in seconds, or with a single AI prompt —
but that wasn’t the point.
 
Real art takes time. Real art is love and dedication.
So SMOE painted her first from scratch, then pixelated her manually, block by block. Because you don’t just “see” the artwork — you see the story behind it.
The backprint shows the crisp pixelated Mona Lisa. The front keeps things clean with the dripping tag. Together, they make this tee one of SMOE’s most meaningful and iconic pieces.
